Biodiversity

Biodiversity is a general term for the diversity of living beings. With the extinction (extermination) of species the biodiversity is decreasing. Also the diversity of local breeds of domestic animals and ultimately the diversity of ecologically adapted cultures (together with ethnodiversity) contribute to biodiversity (compare cultural ecology).
