Odourless thyme (Micromeria inodora = Satureja inodora, Thymus inodorus; Lamiaceae)

This close relative of thyme (Thymus, Thymbra) is endemic in Alicante and in the islands of Ibiza, Formentera and Mallorca, where the plant is frequent in rosemary communities. It flowers in winter and is almost void of smell. It is used for combustion. Whether it is used medicinally like thyme proper is still to be researched.
