Fleawort
Fleawort (Plantago psyllium = Plantago afra, Plantaginaceae)
French: plantain pucier
The fleawort is common in the Mediterranean, it grows in uncultivated fields and at the edges of roads.
The ground seeds are put in water and this mixture after some hours is used as a laxative, and for this reason the seeds are sold in other parts of the Earth. To reduce the appetite this mixture is used during meals because it creates a feeling of having eaten enough.
