Bladder Campion
Bladder campion (Silene vulgaris = Silene inflata = Silene cucubalus, Caryophyllaceae)
French: silène enflée
Ibicencan: verdura
The bladder campion can be found in a great part of the Northern Hemisphere, also on the Balearic Islands. The tender leaves are edible and are eaten on Ibiza too, especially in the week before Easter. The plant is said to support the metabolism.
